Cannabis Christmas sugar cookies recipe
Did someone say Cannabis-Infused Christmas Sugar Cookies?
The holidays can be a crazy time; between shopping, socializing, and spending time with loved ones, burning the candle from both ends can leave you low on Christmas spirit. But with a little time in the kitchen (and maybe a trip to your local dispensary), is what you need to reset.
These cannabis-infused Christmas sugar cookies are made using homemade cannabutter and are perfect for a relaxing body high during the hectic holidays.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cannabutter
- 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 extra-large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2-3 tbsp sugar for rolling
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Cream together butter or margarine and 3/4 cup sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Mix together.
In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and powder. Add to wet mixture and mix until incorporated, being careful not to over mix. If the dough is too crumbly and won’t come together, knead by hand for a minute or two.
Using a spoon, divide cookie dough into 12 equal portions. Roll into balls and coat tops by pressing into sugar. Spread evenly on 2 parchment-lined baking sheets. Gently press down to flatten dough to about 3/4″ thick.
Bake each sheet separately for 13 to 15 minutes at 375° F.
Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then remove and place on a wire rack to cool.
