Movie Theatres Opening Up in Regina
Saskatchewan’s Update On Capacity Limits In Movie Theatres
It was announced this morning by Scott Moe, premier of Saskatchewan, that “over 70% of Saskatchewan residents age 30 and older have now received their first shot of the vaccine.” This news means the province will be able to enter “Step Two on the Re-opening Roadmap on Sunday, June 20th, 2021“. In Step Two, capacity limits in event facilities such as theatres will be increased to 150 people.
Not only is Farmer Jane super excited about the decreasing number of Saskatchewan people get sick, we are also happy about the increase of capacity numbers in event facilities, specifically the re-opening of movie theatres.
Similar to the relationship between cannabis and the munchies, cannabis and movies go great with one another.
Why Movies Are Great When Your High
Many will argue that any movie gets better after consuming some Farmer Jane products. While watching movies in an altered state you may laugh harder, think deeper, or reflect more deeply on the realities of our world. Here in Regina, Farmer Jane currently has two locations: Farmer Jane Rochdale and Farmer Jane Aurora. By June 20th, when the Saskatchewan province enters “Step Two”, Farmer Jane will have three locations with the addition of our Farmer Jane Normanview location.
Now, I know you’re probably wondering, other than the connection between weed and movies, what does Farmer Jane and movie theatres have to do with one another? Well, if you know the city of Regina and you know where the Farmer Jane locations are, you would know that the two largest movie theatres in Regina share a parking lot with two of the Farmer Jane locations.
Regina Galaxy Theatre
The Regina Galaxy Theatre, located in Normanview happens to be right beside our NEW Farmer Jane Normanview location and only a few blocks away from our Farmer Jane Rochdale location. This movie theatre has been around since May 30, 2003 (Wow! Eighteen years!) and is a local favourite amongst the people of Regina. Click here to see a list of the upcoming movies.
Regina Landmark Theatre
The Regina Landmark is the newest movie theatre in Regina, located in Aurora by Costco and the Farmer Jane Aurora location. It opened on October 4th, 2019, just before the “world shut down”. Since opening the Regina Landmark Theatre has opened up private bookings for groups up to 20 people and made popcorn delivery available through Skip the Dishes.
