Things To Do this 420!

What to do for 420 near me?

Our favourite day of the year is just around the corner!

For any cannabis user, casual or chronic, the unofficial holiday is sure to bring joy all around. Mostly because everyone is zooted out of their minds… But for many stoners, 420 is like a second birthday. April 20th, or “420,” has become a cultural phenomenon around the world. It’s a day to celebrate and advocate for cannabis culture, and there are many ways to mark the occasion!

So to honour our favourite holiday, here’s some ideas on what to do for 420 in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, other than the classic backyard blunt sesh.

First things first: if you’re in need of some quality cannabis products, stop at the closest Farmer Jane dispensary near you. We have a wide variety of strains, edibles, concentrates, and more, so you’re sure to find something that suits your needs. Plus, we’re doing some extra special stuff for 420… Cue the free snacks and unique experiences, so it’s a win-win.

Once you have your stash sorted, here are some ideas for how to spend your 420:

1. Gather your best buds

We know you love your non-smoking friends, and so do we, but lets be real: this holiday is probably not their cup of tea. Bring together your closest friends that love the bud as much as you do (or almost as much as you do). If you don’t have any cannabis-loving friends, 420 is the perfect day to make some new ones. There are so many online communities for cannabis lovers all around the country. If none of this sounds appealing, celebrating alone with your favourite movie is always a solid choice.

2. Host a cannabis-themed party

Take the first idea a step further, and invite some friends over and celebrate 420 in style. Decorate your space with green and leafy decorations, serve cannabis-infused snacks and drinks, and play some music that fits the vibe. You can also plan some activities like smoking games or a joint-rolling contest.Looking for a playlist to fit the vibe?

3. Attend a 420 event

While spending 420 with your nearest and dearest is great, there’s just something extra special about spending the day with a large group of like-minded people. Many cities across Canada host 420 events, which often include live music, vendors selling cannabis products and accessories, and educational seminars about cannabis culture. Even if it isn’t directly 420 related, attending events after smoking your favourite strain can be a great time with some friends. Here are a couple options for events happening in Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg on April 20.

4. Take a nature walk

There’s nothing quite like enjoying the great outdoors while high. Our home province may be flat, but they are home to many beautiful parks and natural areas! So take advantage of the opportunity to explore them while celebrating 420. Just remember to be responsible and respectful of the environment.

5. Pick a dope place to eat

What is 420 without the munchies? For most of us, smoking and eating go hand in hand – especially when you’re consuming an enormous amount of cannabis. (After all, it is 420). My advice? You and your buds might want to decide on a place before you guys get too incredibly high. People sometimes tend to become indecisive when they’re too stoned. And having five indecisive stoners in one room that have no clue where to eat is basically like flipping through Netflix with no plan in sight.

6. Try a new cannabis strain or product

420 is a great excuse to try something new, whether it’s a strain you’ve never tried before or a cannabis-infused product you’ve been curious about. Just make sure to start with a low dose and go slow, especially if you’re not an experienced user.

7. Stock up on the necessities

This is where we come in! Shop at any of our locations for some absolutely killer deals, tons of selection, and great service. We take this day seriously, and we seriously want you to have the best day ever! Not to mention, we’re going to be open an hour earlier than normal… We got your wake and bake needs covered. No matter how you choose to celebrate 420, remember to do so responsibly and with respect for others.

And if you need to stock up on cannabis products, don’t forget to stop by Farmer Jane for some free snacks and unique experiences!

Happy 420!
