How to Make a Snow Bong
Switch up that Snowman for a Bong made of snow!
Here in the Prairies we’re no strangers to snow days. That joy you felt as a kid when seeing that fluffy powder fall from the sky may be replaced nowadays with a feeling of resentment. (Like clearing your car off of inches of snow at 8 am in the morning…) Maybe that feeling of joy will be brought back after taking a rip off your snowman-turned-accessory, even if you are smoking in -20 degree weather! The results of making a Snow Bong are nothing short of awesome.
Materials Needed to Make a Snow Bong:

Snow.
This is by far the most important thing, all other materials are negotiable…

A bowl (the kind you eat cereal out of – not the kind you use to smoke weed.)
This is going to give you something to build on. Alternatively, you could just build it directly into a pile of snow.

Dowel
This will let you make the smoke chamber. You can use all sorts of other stuff if you don’t have a dowel, as long as it’s long and narrow. Curtain rods, broom sticks or whatever else you find!

A skewer
This is to form the bowl. You can also use a small screwdriver, clothing hanger, small stick, etc.
Step 1: Pile some Snow into the Bowl
Or start building your base onto that 12 inch pile in your front yard 😉
Step 2: Inset the dowel into the snow, and pack it in.
Make sure you don’t push it all the way to the bottom! Leave about 2 inches of snow between the dowel and the bottom of the bowl.
Step 3: Grab more snow and build it to your desired height.
This is also your chance to show off your sculpting skills 😉
Step 4: Remove the dowel
Step 5: Use a skewer to poke a thin ‘Downstem” into the chamber
Step 6: Use the skewer to carve out a smaller bowl
Step 7: Pack in your favourite strain and enjoy!
Now does it work?
Hell yeah it works!
To be fair, you’ll get a good couple pulls off of it before it is melted beyond use. Sure it might be a lot of effort for a few hits, but it sure is fun. If you replace the “snow bowl” with a real glass bowl, you could get a bit more time out of it. Put on those ski pants and parkas and build your own snow bong!
