Cannabis Infused Drinks
If you like Whiteclaws but hate the hangover, like crushing a Budweiser but turn a blind eye at the calories, or like popping open a bottle of your favourite spirit but want to stop apologizing to your liver, cannabis infused drinks may be for you.
According to Molson Coors, there are 140 billion global beverage occasions per year and at Farmer Jane we believe these beverage occasions should be paired with some cannabis infused drinks.
You may be wondering… What is so great about cannabis drinks?
Taste
First off, the taste. Although canna-beverages are quite new to the market, the flavour and research and design has come along way. The edible drinks initially were a challenge to create, as they were made by combining cannabis oil and water – which as we all learned in grade 5 science class, oil and water don’t mix well. This problem resulted in the taste of the cannabis drinks to be undesirable. In the short while that the weed drinks have been in production they have come a long way. The cannabis drink taste is highly dependant on the amount of THC, CBD and terpenes infused in the drink. The THC and CBD provide an “earthy” cannabis taste and the terpenes add a more natural flavouring to the drink to replicate a soda or a carbonated drink. The High
For some people, it may take 30 minutes to feel the effects of edibles or it may take hours. This wait time is highly dependent on your metabolism, genetics, and the state of your digestive tract. This slow, often unpredictable reaction time of edibles can be quite an inconvenience which is why infused drinks make an excellent alternative. Since cannabis drinks are liquid they are able to travel through your digestive track at a faster rate, allowing you to feel the effects quicker. The average wait time for a drinks high to kick in is 30 minutes and the effects last between two and four hours.
Low Calories
