Farmer Jane’s 24 Daze of Giving: Spreading Holiday Cheer and Kindness
On the ninth day of the Holidaze, Farmer Jane Henderson and their partner, Palmetto, are gearing up for the annual tradition of the 24 Daze of Giving.
This heartwarming initiative sees each of our 13 store locations across Regina, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg engaging in thirteen consecutive days of small acts of giving to local non-profit organizations that hold a special place in our hearts.
The Spirit of Giving
At Farmer Jane, we believe in the power of community and the joy that comes from spreading kindness. The 24 Daze of Giving is a celebration of this spirit, allowing each of our locations to contribute to a community initiative or charity of their choice. This year, each store is thrilled to make a $250 donation to support these worthy causes, creating a positive impact and fostering a sense of togetherness during the holiday season.

On this special day of our 24 Daze of Giving Calendar, Farmer Jane Henderson, in collaboration with Palmetto, is directing its generosity towards the pitikiwe Skate Park in Winnipeg! Pitikwe Skate Park is a do-it-yourself, community-driven, pilot project inside Portage Place. Most importantly, they create a safe and inclusive indoor space that is essential for the city’s vibrant skateboarding community.
Pitikiwe Skate Park: Making a Difference
Pitikwé, pronounced “pee-tih-kway”, is a Cree word meaning “Come in” – a way of welcoming any visitors into your home when you hear a knock at the door. The name reflects what they are trying to accomplish in the new space. Pitikwé Skatepark encourages skateboarders, scooters, roller skaters, and BMX riders of all ages and skill levels to get involved in the space. Through community collaboration, they strive to address inequity in both sports and society, enrich downtown Winnipeg with life-giving programming, community-building events, a safe space for recreation and empower individuals of diverse backgrounds.
