Farmer Jane Charleswood – 12 Daze of Giving
What are the 12 Daze of Giving?
The 12 Daze of Giving are twelve consecutive days of small acts of giving to local non-profits organizations in the community. Here at Farmer Jane, we have 12 store locations across Regina, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, which equates conveniently to 12 different locations.
Each Farmer Jane location came together as a team came to select their charity of choice to which they wanted to donate to for their select day on the 12 Daze of Giving calendar. This $250 donation goes to a community initiative/charity of choice in hopes to spread kindness and create a positive impact.
We also have stocked up on some Licensed Producer merch to give away to the first 12 customers at each of our stores! So make sure to keep coming to your local cannabis shop to stock up on some #PrettyGoodWeed and some pretty awesome merch.
Farmer Jane Charleswood and Canaca
On the eighth day of the 12 Daze of Giving Calendar Farmer Jane Charleswood will be donating to Bear Clan Patrol. This community initiative could not be done alone. With the support of our friends at Canaca, we were able to donate $250 to this deserving cause.
Bear Clan Patrol
Bear Clan Patrol came about as a result of the ongoing need to assume our traditional responsibility to provide security to our Indigenous community. Given that the Indigenous population in Winnipeg is anywhere from 60,000 to 80,000, and is heavily concentrated in certain inner-city neighborhoods, it was felt that the community must organize to keep the peace and to assist community members. The concept behind the patrol, then, is community people working with the community to provide personal security in the inner city in a non-threatening, non-violent, and supportive way.
Bear Clan Patrol’s mission is to provide restoration and maintenance of harmony within the community by promoting and providing safety, conflict resolution, mobile witnessing and crime prevention, maintaining a visible presence on the streets, and providing an early response to situations. Here at Farmer Jane, we support this mission.
